Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Research is built into the curriculum through our Advanced Research Method (ARM) courses. If you are interested in independent research, members of the faculty in the Psychology department maintain active research laboratories and are committed to involving undergraduates in their work. Research can be carried out for 1 credit (3 hours/week) or 4 credits (12 hours/week). Students can also participate in Summer Fellows.

Students are encouraged to sign up for research and there are various opportunities available each semester. Students are encouraged to speak with any of our Psychology faculty and inquire what research they are currently working on as well as what research they will be working on in the future.

Additionally, students can also choose to perform research off-campus.

Undergraduate Internship Opportunities

The Psychology Department does not maintain a list of available internships, though occasionally opportunities are distributed through email or posted on our LinkedIn page. Check out our webpage for more information about psychology internships.

Students can consult Professor Sue Lawrence who supervises all psychology internships or the Career and Professional Development team for assistance.
