Sharing Images

Images you plan to share beyond the classroom must either come from the public domain or be created by you or someone else under an open license.  Resources on this page can help you search for openly licensed images and other media.  See also the Knowledge Base article here for a comprehensive list of image sites.

Wikimedia Commons

Wikimedia Commons is a source for public domain and freely-licensed educational content: images, sounds and videos.

Pixabay is a repository of millions of images, videos and music available to reuse, modify and share for free under the Pixabay license.

The Noun Project

The Noun Project is an extensive, diverse collection of iconography.  Millions of icons and photos are available to download free of charge.

This online photo management and sharing application contains many openly licensed images.  Use the drop-down menu in search results to find images available for use under Creative Commons licenses.
